About The Position

The Cylinder Processor processes medical and industrial gas cylinders according to established plant guidelines and procedures. The role inspects cylinders before filling to determine whether they require retesting or repair, fills products as needed, and handles cylinder and warehouse inventory activities. It also involves operating and maintaining cylinder scales and related equipment, preparing shipment paperwork, entering inventory information into a computer, maintaining quality-control documentation, and operating a forklift and other plant vehicles. This position is based in Los Angeles, California, and works the second shift.

Requirements

High school degree or GED.
More than one year of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
Good leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Process medical and industrial gas cylinders using established plant guidelines and procedures.
Inspect cylinders before filling, using visual, physical, and odor tests to determine whether retesting or repairs are needed.
Check cylinder quantities, styles, and products, and fill necessary products.
Load and unload product from the weekly shuttle truck.
Operate and maintain cylinder scales and associated equipment.
Prepare warehouse transfer orders and accompanying shipment paperwork.
Enter quantities, styles, and products filled into the computer to justify stock inventory.
Complete and maintain quality-control documentation according to company and governmental procedures.
Operate a forklift truck and other plant vehicles.
