About The Position
Macy’s Cycle Count Associate performs functions related to scanning, verifying, and reconciling inventory. The role sets up cycle counts in the system, assigns and monitors aisle inventories, physically counts inventory, and researches shortages, overages, and unlocated stock. Associates may operate powered equipment as assigned and are expected to foster respectful relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities. This is a seasonal, full-time role in Goodyear.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent encouraged; no experience required.
- Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Read, understand, and interpret employment policies, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals in English.
- Be resourceful and self-starting, and work well independently and as part of a team.
- Be proficient in using computers and handheld technology.
- Work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Meet physical requirements including prolonged standing and walking, frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment, and frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds; the work may also involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders, depth perception, and color vision.
Responsibilities
- Set up cycle counts in the system, assign aisles, and monitor aisle inventory progress.
- Physically count inventory, move boxes, and use lifts to perform cycle counts accurately.
- Reassign aisles that need to be completed.
- Research and reconcile shortages and overages.
- Monitor and reconcile the NIL report and research unlocated stock.
- Operate powered equipment as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
- Foster acceptance and respect and build authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
