About The Position

Macy’s Cycle Count Associates perform functions related to scanning, verifying, and reconciling inventory. The role involves setting up cycle counts in the system, assigning aisles, monitoring inventory progress, physically counting inventory, and researching discrepancies. Associates may operate powered equipment as assigned and are expected to foster respectful, inclusive relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week; hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.

Requirements

No experience is required.
Must be able to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
Must be able to read, understand, and interpret employment policies and English-language instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Resourceful self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team.
Must be proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
The role requires prolonged standing and walking; may involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders, depth perception, and color vision; frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld electronic equipment; and frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Set up cycle counts in the system, assign aisles, and monitor aisle inventory progress.
Physically count inventory, move boxes, and use lifts to perform cycle counts accurately.
Reassign aisles that need to be completed.
Research and reconcile inventory shortages and overages.
Monitor and reconcile the NIL report and research unlocated stock.
Operate powered equipment as assigned by a Manager or Supervisor.
Foster acceptance and respect to strengthen relationships and ensure authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
