About The Position

This position is for a CVOR Technologist in Wichita, KS. The unit has 2 heart rooms with a potential for a 3rd. The staffing includes 1 CVOR RN and 1 CVOR CST for the day shift. There is no night shift, only on-call. The patient ratio is 1:1. The unit utilizes various cardiac surgical equipment and the EMR system is Meditech / CPN. The work environment requires candidates to be confident, team-oriented, and maintain a positive attitude, with a focus on patient experience and effective communication. An ECMO program is restarting, offering opportunities in advanced cardiopulmonary support. On-call duties are required, including one weeknight per week and one weekend per month.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of current CVOR Technologist hospital experience
• BLS Certification
• NBSTA Certification
• Active Kansas licensure
• Vascular training

Nice To Haves

• ACLS Certification
• Experience with Open Heart and Cardiovascular procedures
• Prior experience with Meditech

Responsibilities

• Assist with Open Heart and Cardiovascular procedures.
• Operate and maintain cardiac surgical equipment.
• Utilize Meditech / CPN EMR system.
• Participate in on-call duties, including one weeknight per week and one weekend per month.
• Support the restarting ECMO program.
