About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment roles. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide a quick and easy customer experience, and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may work in different areas of the store as needed. Sales and Customer Service duties include keeping the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising and straightening; assisting customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operating point-of-sale systems and bagging items; supporting fitting rooms; sorting and returning merchandise to the salesfloor; organizing stockrooms and checking in and ticketing merchandise; using store technologies; following operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards; and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to scan and process shipments, maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as event setup, backroom organization, markdowns, and moving fixtures. The role requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and hand use. Employees handle bulky or awkward items, regularly lift up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Stock and Fulfillment employees frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The pay range is $17.70–$18.40 per hour, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising, sizing, filling, and straightening merchandise.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, including cashiering, point-of-sale operation, and bagging items.
Support fitting-room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and prepare orders for shipment according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
