About The Position

Warrior Insurance Network is seeking an Underwriting Supervisor to oversee and monitor the Personal Lines Underwriting team, with a strong focus on quality and timeliness. The supervisor reviews exceptions and makes determinations according to established underwriting rules and procedures, and schedules, prioritizes, and assigns work to support optimum productivity. This is an on-site position. The role may include additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

College degree or related industry experience.
At least 3 years of underwriting experience.
Solid knowledge of technical underwriting.
Ability to work independently on technical and administrative matters in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Leadership, training, and development abilities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Identify training needs and assist in designing training programs for the department and employees.
Monitor and report on each employee’s processing and phone performance standards.
Perform the assigned number of monthly underwriting and processing audits for each employee.
Provide input for performance appraisals related to processing, underwriting quality, and quantity.
Provide input on processing- or underwriting-related performance issues.
Develop positive and productive relationships with Independent Producers.
Mentor and guide underwriting staff.
Coordinate with internal business partners in Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Accounting, and Human Resources to support operational efficiencies at the branch level.
Remain logged into the Personal Lines ACD as the last person in the queue.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
