About The Position

This temporary Customer Service - Road Tester position is based in Casa Grande, Arizona. The employee works outdoors administering parking and road tests for people seeking a driver’s license, including observing driving tests while riding in the customer’s vehicle. The role also includes facilitator and photo-taking support, lobby and kiosk support, and VIN inspections. The schedule is 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and pay is $16.04 per hour. The position is ongoing, with a maximum duration of two years and the possibility of hire. Benefits are available after the eligibility period is met.

The employee explains testing procedures and requirements, conducts vehicle inspections, documents and scores tests, determines and communicates pass/fail results based on observed qualifications, and handles related records. Other duties may include staffing the greeter station, taking photos, administering written tests, and entering exam results.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have 1 to 2 years of proven customer service skills.
• Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license.
• Must enjoy working with people in person.
• Ability to explain testing processes and requirements.
• Ability to oversee road and parking tests.
• Ability to use a computer to record documentation.
• Fingerprint check required.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.

• Complete pre-trip vehicle inspections.
• Observe driving tests while riding in the vehicle with the driver; the driver provides the vehicle.
• Document and score tests, and issue pass/fail results based on observed qualifications.
• Inform applicants or drivers of test results.
• Handle, file, and record documentation.
• Provide greeter-station support where applicable.
• Take photos.
• Administer written tests.
• Enter exam results.
• Provide facilitator, lobby, kiosk, and VIN inspection support.
