About The Position

The Customer Service Representative works as part of a supportive team to provide customer service at a U-Haul center. The role assists customers with U-Haul products and services, uses technology to dispatch and return equipment, and inspects and maintains equipment. On-the-job education is offered, including ongoing training through U-Haul University. Certifications for propane filling and forklift operation are offered after employment. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required. U-Haul states that, consistent with applicable state law, it will not hire or re-hire nicotine product users in the listed states.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect lot equipment, including checking fluid levels.
Answer customer questions and educate customers about products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept returned rental equipment.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane; U-Haul certification is offered upon employment.
Drive a forklift; U-Haul certification is offered upon employment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
