About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring a Customer Service Representative at Fondren Five Star Pet Resort. The role provides welcoming, professional service to pet parents and their pets, supports customer inquiries and facility tours, and helps coordinate the pets’ arrival, stay, and departure. It also includes sales, recordkeeping, payment handling, maintaining a clean lobby, and assisting other team members. The position requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays and involves regular standing and walking, stairs, lifting, and exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and pet-related messes.

Requirements

• Strong people and pet skills.
• Solid communication skills across phone, in-person, and email interactions.
• Ability to use multi-line phones and computer systems.
• Ability to remain professional under pressure and solve problems.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service or retail experience.
• At least one year of customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome pet parents and pets to the facility.
• Answer phones and multitask while assisting customers.
• Give facility tours to new clients and sell services.
• Ensure current vaccination records are on file.
• Manage pet check-ins and check-outs.
• Handle cash and card payments and balance the end-of-day cash drawer.
• Respond to complaints patiently and professionally.
• Escort pet guests to and from their enclosures.
• Keep the lobby clean and welcoming.
• Support other team members as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
