About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring a Customer Service Representative at Fondren Five Star Pet Resort. The role provides welcoming, attentive service to pet parents and their pets, supports facility operations, and helps clients understand and purchase available services. The position requires availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays. The work involves frequent standing, walking, and stair climbing; lifting up to 40 pounds; and exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. Pay starts at $15.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus tips.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills across phone, in-person, and email interactions.
• Ability to use multi-line phones and computer systems.
• Ability to remain professional under pressure and solve problems.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous customer service or retail experience is welcomed.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Previous experience in customer service or retail.

Responsibilities

• Welcome pet parents and their pets to the facility.
• Answer phones and manage multiple tasks.
• Tour prospective clients through the facility and sell services.
• Ensure client pets’ vaccination records are up to date.
• Manage pet check-ins and check-outs.
• Handle cash and card payments and balance the end-of-day cash drawer.
• Respond to complaints patiently and professionally.
• Escort pets to and from their enclosures.
• Keep the lobby clean and welcoming.
• Support other team members as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
