About The Position

Roto-Rooter is hiring a full-time Customer Service Representative for the second shift at its Baltimore-area call center in Linthicum, Maryland. The evening shift runs until 10:00 p.m. and may include Saturdays and Sundays. The hourly pay is $17.00–$19.00, depending on experience. The role provides assistance to customers to ensure their satisfaction and help them obtain solutions to their plumbing problems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Self-starter who is organized, thorough, and attentive to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers.
• Gather key information from customers while expressing empathy, urgency, and confidence that the company will address their plumbing problems.
• Enter customer contact information and relevant details about plumbing problems.
• Schedule service calls based on customers’ availability and convenience.
• Discuss additional services and products that may be helpful to customers.
• Serve as a trusted informational resource for Roto-Rooter customers.
