About The Position

Roto-Rooter is hiring a full-time Customer Service Representative for the second shift at its Baltimore-area call center in Linthicum, Maryland. The evening shift runs until 10:00 p.m. and may include Saturdays and Sundays. The hourly pay rate is $17.00–$19.00, depending on experience. The representative is the first point of contact for customers and provides assistance to support customer satisfaction. The role includes gathering customer and plumbing-problem details, entering information, scheduling service calls, discussing available services and products, and serving as a trusted source of information. Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong customer service focus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Self-starter who is organized and thorough, with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual skills.
Knowledge of AS400.
Prior call center experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for customers.
Gather key customer information while demonstrating empathy, urgency, and confidence that the company can resolve their plumbing problems.
Enter customer contact information and relevant details about plumbing problems.
Schedule service calls based on customer availability and convenience.
Discuss additional services and products that may be helpful to customers.
Serve as an informational resource for Roto-Rooter customers.
