About The Position

As a Customer Service Representative at OrthoAtlanta, you will be responsible for handling a high volume of incoming calls, scheduling appointments, managing patient information in Epic, verifying insurance, and providing an exceptional patient experience. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, along with a patient-first mindset.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and multitasking abilities
  • Discretion, professionalism, and a team-first mindset

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in a medical office or call center
  • Working knowledge of Epic
  • Familiarity with medical terminology

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct a high volume of incoming calls (80+ daily) on a multi-line switchboard
  • Schedule appointments and follow-ups accurately and efficiently
  • Enter and update patient demographics and insurance information in Epic
  • Create and manage patient cases and referral entries
  • Verify insurance eligibility and referral requirements
  • Work referral work queues and index documentation in OnBase and Epic
  • Provide clear directions, declare calls, and guide patients as needed
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments in a fast-paced environment
  • Deliver an exceptional patient experience with professionalism and empathy
  • Support additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Call Center Manager
