About The Position

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission’s Prince George’s County Northern Recreation and Leisure Services Division is seeking Customer Service Representatives to provide frontline support at community and recreation facilities. Representatives greet patrons, answer questions, promote a positive experience, and provide excellent service to employees and visitors. The role also supports staff, programs, events, and daily facility operations while helping maintain a safe, welcoming, customer-focused environment.

The position requires periods of standing; frequent walking; and repeated bending, stretching, or reaching. General cleaning of buildings is also part of the work. Selected candidates must demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Candidates must be at least 18 years old. Employment may be subject to drug and alcohol testing, and a criminal background check will be completed before hire.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries in person and by phone.
• Process program registrations, memberships, and facility reservations.
• Handle payments and basic recordkeeping.
• Assist with administrative tasks and daily facility operations.
• Help ensure a safe, welcoming, customer-focused environment while supporting staff, programs, and events across the division.
• Perform general cleaning of buildings.
