The Customer Service Representative answers phones, enters pizza orders into computers, serves customers, and learns to prepare pizzas from start to finish. The role calls for a positive outlook and people skills, and offers opportunities to grow into management and other positions within Domino’s. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Team members operate store equipment; stock ingredients and supplies; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete related paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility. The work involves communicating with customers and coworkers in person and by phone, entering orders by keyboard or touch screen, handling money, and performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, and unloading deliveries. Work conditions include exposure to varying weather during outdoor tasks, temperatures ranging from about 36 degrees in the cooler to 90 degrees or higher in some areas, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Most tasks are performed standing, with short-distance walking; paperwork is generally completed seated at a desk or table. Deliveries may include cases weighing up to 50 pounds, lifted from the floor and stacked on shelves up to 72 inches high.
