About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience by providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. Engages customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues, and answering questions. Shares customer-service best practices with team members. Operates an assigned cash register and handles purchases, cash, change, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Recommends products, including trade-up and companion items. Maintains clean, orderly, and well-merchandised counters and shelves; checks in and prices merchandise; takes inventory and maintains records; builds displays; completes resets; and helps stock and rotate consumable items. Follows asset-protection procedures and complies with laws concerning regulated products and company policies for food separation and product placement. Provides service in the photo area, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative-machine services, and promotional photo products. Monitors and fulfills web pickup orders and delivers them to customers. Helps maintain the store’s interior and exterior. Completes assigned training and other tasks. This is a temporary position requiring a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.

Requirements

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance, resolve issues, and answer questions.
Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient checkout service.
Operate the assigned cash register; process purchases, cash, change, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Recommend products for sale, including trade-up and companion items.
Maintain clean, orderly, and well-merchandised counters, shelves, and store areas.
Take inventory, maintain records, check in merchandise, and price items as directed.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, and other displays; complete resets and revisions.
Follow asset-protection procedures and comply with laws regarding regulated products.
Assist with food separation, product placement, stock rotation using FIFO, and restocking outs.
Use store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area services, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative-machine services, and promotional photo recommendations.
Monitor and fill web pickup orders and deliver orders to customers when they arrive.
Attend training and complete assigned PPLs.
Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers, comply with company policies and procedures, and complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
