About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience. Registers sales on an assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The associate supports store operations by maintaining merchandise and displays, following asset protection and product-handling procedures, and assisting customers in the photo area and with web pick-up orders. The role also includes store maintenance, completing assigned tasks, and attending required training.

Requirements

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions.
Model and share customer service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive assistance.
Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service; recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
Register purchases; collect cash and provide change; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
Implement asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, such as alcohol and tobacco.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Assist with separating food items and placing products according to policies and procedures; rotate consumable stock using first-in, first-out methods and restock outs.
Use store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine services, and suggestive selling of promotional photo products.
Monitor Picture Care Plus orders, pick items, and deliver web pick-up orders to customers at the store.
Help maintain clean, neat, orderly interior and exterior store conditions.
Follow company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
