About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience by providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient service. Operates an assigned cash register and supports store operations, merchandising, inventory, asset protection, and maintenance. Provides customer service in the photo area and handles web pickup orders. Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers. Attends training and completes assigned learning modules. This is a temporary role. The position requires fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico, and willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve customer issues, and answer questions.
Model and share customer service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive assistance through resolution.
Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service; recommend items, trade-up products, and companion items.
Process purchases, collect cash, distribute change, and handle voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as directed.
Implement asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Comply with state and local laws regarding regulated products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Separate food items and place products according to policies and procedures.
Rotate consumable stock using the first-in, first-out method and restock out-of-stock items.
Use store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area services, including digital passport photos, poster printing, use of the creative machine, and suggestive selling of promotional photo products.
Monitor Picture Care Plus web pickup orders, pick items, and deliver orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
Assist with interior and exterior maintenance to keep the store clean, neat, orderly, and presentable.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by a manager or assigned by corporate.
