About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive customer experience while registering sales on an assigned cash register and providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The role supports customer service, store operations, merchandising, asset protection, and maintenance, and provides service in the photo area and for web pickup orders. The associate also attends assigned training and completes requested learning activities.

Requirements

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions.
Model and share customer service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive assistance.
Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
Recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
Register purchases, collect cash, distribute change, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as required or directed.
Follow asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
Construct and maintain displays, complete resets and revisions, and handle promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale merchandise.
Assist with food separation and product placement according to policies and procedures; rotate consumable stock using first in, first out and restock outs.
Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine services, and suggestive selling of promotional photo products.
Monitor and fill web pickup orders and deliver them to customers when they arrive at the store.
Assist with interior and exterior maintenance to keep the store clean, neat, orderly, and presentable.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
