Customer Sales Associate
About The Position
The Customer Sales Associate supports customers visiting Trane Supply stores, serving as a trusted advisor for questions and needs involving parts and equipment. The role helps resolve customer issues, recommends related products and add-on extensions, and provides timely, high-quality parts and solutions. Associates maintain knowledge of Trane products, offerings, and promotions; manage quotes and orders accurately through fulfillment; and contribute to warehouse and inventory tasks as needed. The position involves customer interactions both in person and by phone, with overtime or weekend work as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Inside sales, retail, or related experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, with an emphasis on customer service, continuous improvement, and safety.
- Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships and maintain professional customer service in challenging situations.
Responsibilities
- Support customers and determine effective ways to resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify related products or add-on extensions to help customers and grow sales.
- Process customer orders and respond to inquiries, questions, or complaints about Parts and Supply offerings; provide solutions that support customer satisfaction and future sales.
- Maintain current knowledge of Trane products, offerings, and promotions to provide a strong customer experience and drive sales.
- Interact with customers by phone and in person.
- Accurately execute quote and order management processes, including entering quotes and invoices and following through on fulfillment to support timely delivery.
- Assist with warehouse and inventory management work as needed.
- Work overtime or weekends as required.
