About The Position

Chem-Plate Industries is seeking an on-site Customer Operations Specialist to connect clients with internal teams. The role oversees end-to-end order management, responds to customer inquiries, and maintains accurate records across company systems. The specialist provides timely, thoughtful resolutions to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Chem-Plate is a growing metal finishing company serving customers nationwide across the automotive, construction, military, transportation, and agriculture industries.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with employees, supervisors, and management.
Comfort working in person, Monday through Friday, in a manufacturing setting.
Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Nice To Haves

2–3 years of experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and order-related questions, primarily through email.
Process and track orders to ensure accuracy and timely fulfillment.
Monitor and report on order status, inventory, and customer feedback.
Maintain accurate records in company systems and generate operational reports.
Update ERP data to ensure the master scheduler reflects accurate information.
Forward incoming purchase orders for regular orders to Order Entry.
Request production timing updates and share internal updates and information.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the customer experience.
Perform additional duties assigned by the Customer Operations Director to support company operations.
