Customer Intelligence Unit Consultant

Choice Bank•Edina, MN

About The Position

The Customer Intelligence Unit (CIU) BaaS Consultant performs risk-based KYC, customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, and transaction analysis for customers requiring centralized or heightened review, with a significant focus on Banking-as-a-Service programs and Fintech partners. The consultant assesses customers across industries, products and services, geographies, transaction volumes, ownership structures, and other risk factors; reviews referrals from FIU, CIU, Quality Assurance, and business partners; and documents clear, defensible risk conclusions. The role may be filled at one of three levels: CIU BaaS Consultant, CIU BaaS Consultant II, or CIU BaaS Consultant III. Responsibilities and independence vary by level. Foundational consultants work within established procedures and escalate nonstandard situations; Consultant II works more independently on specialized due diligence and transaction analysis, including higher-volume and higher-risk customer populations; Consultant III independently owns more complex, high-risk, high-volume, nonroutine, or escalated reviews and provides technical guidance and calibration support to less-experienced consultants. The position requires some travel to support business needs, including team collaboration, internal trainings, and cross-functional initiatives. Travel frequency and duration vary based on organizational priorities and team needs.
