About The Position

As a Customer Experience Banker, you serve as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers. You retain and grow consumer and business customer relationships by identifying financial goals and needs and recommending appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services. You also process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, provide exemplary customer service, and educate customers on the bank’s products, services, and technology. The role is based in an office branch environment and is subject to NMLS-related background check and fingerprint requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of customer service or qualifying military service in administration, contracting, civil affairs, or a similar role; alternatively, a bachelor's degree.
• Provide fingerprints as required by NMLS regulations and meet additional background check requirements.
• Demonstrate acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, communication, and presentation.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of customer service experience in banking, financial services, or goal-driven retail sales.
• Cash-handling skills.
• Comfort with technology, including mobile services and online banking.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues.
• Understand consumer deposit products and consumer lending, and educate customers about them.
• Proactively grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, a new-customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and referrals from customers and partners.
• Educate customers and refer them to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build strong partnerships.
• Adhere to operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
