About The Position

As a Customer Experience Banker, you serve as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers. You help retain and grow consumer and business customer relationships by identifying financial goals and needs and recommending appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services. You also process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, provide exemplary customer service, and educate customers about bank products, services, and technology. The role is based in an office branch environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of customer service experience or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role; alternatively, a bachelor's degree.
• Must provide fingerprints as required by NMLS regulations and meet additional background check requirements.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for immigration benefits.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of customer service experience in banking, financial services, or goal-driven retail sales.
• Cash-handling skills.
• Comfort with technology, including mobile services and online banking.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues.
• Understand consumer deposit products and consumer lending, and educate customers about them.
• Proactively grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, a new-customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and referrals from customers and partners.
• Educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build strong partnerships.
• Follow operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
