About The Position

The Customer Experience Associate supports customers and store operations by providing courteous service, completing checkout transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and safe department. The associate follows company policies and legal guidelines, collaborates with coworkers and supervisors, and may assist in other departments. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Requirements

Completed or working toward a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without an accommodation.
No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

Smile, greet customers, answer questions, and promptly resolve concerns in a polite and professional manner.
Follow company customer-checkout policies to support customer satisfaction.
Operate front-end scanning equipment and the cash register, complete checkout procedures, bag merchandise efficiently, and place merchandise in customers’ carts.
Accurately charge for items and collect appropriate payment, including cash, checks, electronic payments, and coupons.
Follow cash drawer accounting and security procedures to avoid overages and shortages.
Follow store and legal guidelines for the sale of tobacco and alcohol.
Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, marketing promotions, and store layout to answer customer questions.
Maintain department sanitation by following cleaning schedules and guidelines, keeping work areas and equipment clean and maintained, meeting health and OSHA requirements, and disposing of trash properly.
Cooperate with coworkers and supervisors to support the smooth operation of the department and store.
Continuously improve job performance.
Use company-provided personal protective equipment, including cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company-sponsored footwear.
Assist in other departments when called upon.
