About The Position

The Customer Engagement Specialist manages Transportation Management business processes to ensure Ryder’s solutions meet customer requirements. The role interfaces with customers and carriers and represents Ryder in customer meetings. It is an onsite position in Brecksville, Ohio, and applicants must live in the area.

Requirements

• College degree or technical certification in Business, Logistics, or Transportation; a combination of other education and experience will be considered.
• At least 2 years of industry-related experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in customer and flow of freight as well as Transportation Management.
• Computer literacy and ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) and the internet for work-related matters.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Analytical skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations.
• Detail-oriented and customer-focused.
• Knowledge of various modes of transportation.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, formulas, and pivot tables.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Transportation.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients to resolve problems and coordinate implementations.
• Process and distribute weekly and monthly customer metrics and develop customer performance reports.
• Measure transportation network cost and service performance, and analyze, implement, and develop improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with various groups to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Prepare materials in support of client quarterly and monthly account reviews.
• Evaluate, quantify, and present continuous improvement opportunities for assigned accounts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
