About The Position

The Custom Installer delivers and installs furniture, electronics, and other customer merchandise at customers’ homes or BrandsMart USA locations. The work is performed unsupervised and must be completed accurately without damaging customers’ homes or merchandise. This full-time, hourly position requires a valid driver’s license and experience installing and setting up electronic, home security, sound systems, and related products. Except on rare occasions, the Installer is assisted by and oversees a Helper. The role also involves driving a delivery truck, offering customers additional products and services, and attending training sessions to maintain technical knowledge and ability.

Requirements

Must have a valid, current Florida driver’s license.
Education, training, or experience must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the role’s duties accurately.
Ability to read English, or another language as required, sufficiently to understand invoices, delivery and installation orders, manuals, and similar written materials.
Basic English writing skills for repair orders, requests, customer communications, and other correspondence.
Fluency in spoken English, or another language as required, to communicate with and understand customers and other people.
Basic math skills, including multiplication, addition, subtraction, and division, to verify repair amounts, costs, and quantities.
Ability, with a Helper, to grasp, lift, or otherwise move goods weighing up to 75 pounds for 50 feet, including up or down one or more flights of stairs.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma preferred; equivalent education and experience may qualify.
Prior customer service experience preferred but not required.
Electronic hook-up experience preferred but not required.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver and install furniture at customers’ homes or BrandsMart USA locations.
Deliver and install electronics.
Upsell customers on additional products and services, such as extended warranties.
Attend training sessions to maintain technical ability and knowledge.
Drive a delivery truck.
Work with and oversee a Helper, except on rare occasions.
