About The Position

As a Custom In-Home Installation Lead, you’ll deliver, install, configure, and program advanced audio systems in residential and commercial spaces. You’ll meet custom installation standards for device mounting, cable management, power management, and product functionality. The role requires an understanding of general electrical and construction principles and the ability to follow current National Electrical Code and Uniform Building Code standards, along with applicable codes and laws required by the authorizing jurisdiction.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in sales, delivery, installation, or repair, or military equivalent.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Ability to acquire and maintain any required state or local licensing within 90 days of hire.
• Maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy safety standards.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds individually or 150 pounds as a team.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Understanding of general electrical and construction principles.
• Ability to follow current National Electrical Code and Uniform Building Code standards and applicable jurisdictional codes and laws.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in an in-home experience environment.
• Experience selling and/or installing home or car AV equipment.
• Current E-2 Unlimited Electrical Journeyperson or C-6 Limited Electrical Journeyperson License.

Responsibilities

• Establish cabling infrastructure in retrofit and new construction work environments.
• Program basic automation and control systems.
• Collaborate with Best Buy sales teams, custom installation managers, engineers, programmers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Oversee customer deliveries, setups, tutoring sessions, and troubleshooting.
