About The Position

As a Custom In-Home Installation Lead, you’ll deliver, install, configure and program advanced audio systems in residential and commercial spaces. You’ll meet custom installation standards for device mounting, cable management, power management and audio product functionality. The role requires a solid understanding of general electrical and construction principles and the ability to follow current National Electrical Code and Uniform Building Code standards, along with applicable codes and laws mandated by the authorizing jurisdiction.

You’ll establish cabling infrastructure in retrofit and new-construction environments, program basic automation and control systems, collaborate with Best Buy teams and construction professionals, and oversee customer deliveries, setups, tutoring sessions and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in sales, delivery, installation or repair, or military equivalent.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Ability to acquire and maintain any required state or local licensing within 90 days of hire.
• Driving record that meets Best Buy safety standards.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds individually or 150 pounds as a team.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Solid understanding of general electrical and construction principles.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in an in-home experience environment.
• Experience selling and/or installing home or car AV equipment.

Responsibilities
