Custom In-Home Installer
About The Position
As the Custom In-Home Installer, you’ll assist with the installation and calibration of audio/visual and networking equipment in residential and commercial spaces. You’ll perform custom installation jobs that require running wire through walls to connect audio, video, and networking components. You’ll provide clients with a premium in-home experience during delivery, including setup, product tutorials, troubleshooting, and installation of premium audio/video equipment. The role also involves calibrating high-end audio/video equipment, maintaining a company van and equipment, assisting the Custom Installation Lead with paperwork and weekly recaps, helping build furniture such as TV stands, and consulting with System Designers on installation jobs.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience in sales, delivery, installation, repair, or equivalent military experience.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience.
- Current, valid driver’s license.
- Ability to acquire and maintain any state or local licensing required to perform the job effectively within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy safety standards.
- Ability to lift and carry products weighing 75 pounds individually or 150 pounds as a team, with or without accommodation.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in an in-home installation environment.
- Previous experience selling and/or installing home audio/video or car audio.
