About The Position

As the Custom In-Home Installer, you’ll assist with installing and calibrating audio/visual and networking equipment in residential and commercial spaces. The role includes custom installation work, such as running wire through walls to connect audio, video, and networking components. You’ll provide customers with a premium in-home delivery experience, help set up and explain products, troubleshoot and install premium equipment, and support the Custom Installation Lead and System Designers.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience in sales, delivery, installation, repair, or equivalent military experience.
At least 1 year of customer service experience.
Current, valid driver’s license.
Ability to acquire and maintain any state or local licensing required to perform the job effectively within 90 days of hire.
Driving record that meets Best Buy safety standards, including a minimal number of violations or accidents.
Ability to lift and carry products weighing 75 pounds individually or 150 pounds as a team, with or without accommodation.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
Must be at least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in an in-home installation environment.
Previous experience selling and/or installing home audio/video or car audio.

Responsibilities

Provide customers with a premium in-home delivery experience, including product setup, tutorials, troubleshooting, and installation of premium audio/video equipment.
Calibrate high-end audio/video equipment.
Maintain the company van and equipment.
Assist the Custom Installation Lead with daily paperwork and weekly recaps.
Help build furniture, such as TV stands, for customer deliveries.
Consult with System Designers on installation jobs.
