About The Position
Adelphoi is hiring a part-time Custodian at its Robindale location in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The role provides general cleaning services to assigned buildings, following a checklist and reporting work needed beyond regular routines. The Custodian follows regular schedules for services requiring daily, weekly, or monthly attention. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday after school hours and pays $16 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Adhere to regular schedules for services requiring daily, weekly, or monthly attention.
Responsibilities
- Maintain rooms—including restrooms, meeting rooms, classrooms, and the kitchen—in accordance with the building cleaning plan.
- Mop floors according to the requirements for each designated area.
- Clean fixtures, mirrors, walls, doors, water fountains, windows, and blinds on the expected schedule.
- Vacuum carpeted areas and remove carpet spots as needed.
- Remove building trash and dispose of it in appropriate dumpsters.
- Ensure doors and windows are securely locked and lights are turned off.
- Disinfect telephones, receivers, door hardware, handrails, and public horizontal surfaces.
- Maintain appropriate stocks of toilet paper and paper towels in restrooms.
- Dust horizontal surfaces, excluding teacher and office desks.
- Follow health and safety procedures.
- Follow instructions from the Lead Custodian or Supervisor.
- Report work that needs to be done outside expected routines.
