About The Position
The Custodian maintains cleanliness and sanitation across the facility, including production areas, restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, and offices. The role helps ensure that spaces are clean, safe, and organized while supporting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The position may also support deep-cleaning projects and shutdown assignments as needed.
Requirements
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and OSHA safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, and office spaces.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout the facility, including production areas.
- Remove trash, recyclables, and industrial waste from designated areas.
- Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces and shared equipment, such as doorknobs and handrails.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and hand sanitizer.
- Operate custodial equipment, including floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and steamers.
- Support special deep-cleaning projects and shutdown assignments as needed.
- Maintain supply inventory and notify the supervisor when reordering is required.
- Follow safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report safety or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
