About The Position

ATI is hiring a full-time Custodian to work at a government facility in Springfield, Virginia. The role supports mission-critical operations and involves working in a secure environment. The position is expected to average 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with day and evening shifts available. Potential overtime may be needed for scheduled monthly or quarterly deep cleanings.

The Custodian cleans and sanitizes offices, restrooms, common areas, elevators, kitchenettes, locker rooms, and a fitness center; restocks hygiene and sanitation supplies; handles trash and recycling; and performs scheduled deep-cleaning tasks. The role also requires following cleaning and chemical-handling instructions and properly storing and sanitizing equipment. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a clearance.
• Must be able to work independently in a secure or sensitive environment.
• At least two years of experience working in the custodial field.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe working culture.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 30 pounds and bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, and pivot, including standing for long periods.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working near senior government officials.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, common areas, elevators, kitchenettes, locker rooms, and a fitness center, including dusting, mopping, glass cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Restock paper products and soap in restrooms and hand sanitizer throughout the facility.
• Spot-clean walls and remove scuffs and stains.
• Empty trash cans, recycling bins, and cigarette receptacles.
• Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly deep-cleaning tasks, including deep scrubbing floors, exterior power washing, and window cleaning.
• Follow the custodial cleaning schedule.
• Mix, use, and store chemicals according to instructions.
• Store and sanitize equipment properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
