About The Position

The Custodian maintains appropriate sanitation levels in and around company facilities while following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The role includes cleaning and general maintenance across facility areas, including warehouses and freezers, and may include checking and maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment. The position may involve work in cold storage or dry storage environments, noise, and a flexible schedule that may include weekends.

Requirements

Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment and pallet jacks.
Comfort handling cleaning chemicals.
Basic math skills.
Ability to understand instructions in the country’s official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs./9 kg; the weight may be greater depending on the facility.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
Comfort working with various noise levels, which can at times be loud.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs, breakrooms, and office spaces.
Wash and sweep inside the facility and pick up discarded trash.
Perform general maintenance throughout the facility, including the warehouse and freezer.
Remove ice and pick up pieces of pallets.
Keep grounds clean and free of debris.
Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are in good working condition and are properly locked up after use.
Maintain cleaning supply stock levels by taking routine stock checks.
Work with other machinery and material handling equipment.
