About The Position

EDEN is hiring a full-time, onsite Custodian in Cleveland. The role helps maintain clean, safe, and welcoming facilities for staff and visitors, supporting EDEN’s mission to provide housing solutions for people facing housing insecurity and homelessness. The position works Monday through Friday and pays $16.00 per hour. The Custodian performs routine cleaning, restocks supplies, responds to cleaning requests, and identifies maintenance needs. Collaboration, communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to a positive environment are important.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of experience in custodial work or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with cleaning tools and equipment.
Attention to detail and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Empathetic approach and commitment to excellence.

Nice To Haves

Certification in janitorial services is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness across all facilities.
Sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, common spaces, and other areas.
Restock supplies as needed.
Respond promptly to cleaning requests.
Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs.
Work collaboratively and communicate with colleagues, staff, and visitors.
