About The Position

Ultra-Poly Corporation is hiring a Custodian to join its Facilities Department in Portland, Pennsylvania. The company is a family-owned regional plastics recycling business with a supportive work culture and an emphasis on environmentally responsible manufacturing. This is an immediate full-time, day-shift position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Custodian performs commercial cleaning and organization throughout facility offices, breakrooms, locker rooms, and other areas; maintains the external shipping dock; replenishes janitorial supplies; and assists with basic facilities maintenance. The role also involves emptying mini dumpsters using a forklift and shoveling snow from steps and walkways. Employees are expected to follow all safety protocols.

Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented self-starters who can work with minimal supervision and assist others as needed. The employee must obtain forklift certification, meet the stated physical qualifications, be at least 18 years old, be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, and be able to read, write, and understand English. Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment background screening, physical, and drug screen.

Requirements

• Prior experience in industrial cleaning, basic facilities maintenance, or custodial work is preferred.
• Be a self-starter who needs minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and focus on delivering exceptional results.
• Have a strong work ethic, dependability, and good attendance.
• Pass and obtain forklift certification.
• Work Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Meet the physical qualifications: lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; stand for extended periods; lift, throw, bend, squat, twist, and reach; and work in hot and cold conditions.
• Be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Have a positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
• Pass a pre-employment background screening, physical, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Clean and organize facility offices, breakrooms, locker rooms, and other areas.
