About The Position

HES is hiring a General Cleaner (Custodian) to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas at Anderson University. The role involves performing a range of custodial tasks, including floor care, waste removal, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and locker rooms, and cleaning furniture, windows, and other surfaces. The position is physically demanding and fast-paced, with extensive walking and standing throughout the shift and work in temperatures ranging from hot to cold. Requirements

Ability to work with others and take direction.

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull.
Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 25 pounds.
Ability to walk and stand extensively for the duration of the shift.
Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within established production and service time frames.
Ability to work in temperatures ranging from hot to cold.

Nice To Haves

High school degree.
Previous cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, vacuum, and extract carpets.
Remove trash and recycling.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
Clean the outside area within 10 feet of entryways.
Wash windows and clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry and interior glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures.
Perform other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor or designated representative.
