About The Position

Iberia Comprehensive Community Health Center (ICCHC) and its satellite health centers are the leading providers of primary health care services in the communities we serve, including individuals who are both insured and uninsured. ICCHC provides multi-disciplinary, comprehensive health care services, including vision care. ICCHC is currently seeking a full-time Custodian for its Lafayette, LA location.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent Required.
• One or more years of on-the-job training and/or combination of on-the-job plus previous experience dealing with the public preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Pleasant personality and clear voice and diction.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Familiarity with infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to lift, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of safety and hygiene regulations in healthcare.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work and work independently as well as schedule and produce work in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in all areas of the healthcare facility, including but not limited to clinical, pharmacy, administrative, and public spaces.
• Adhering to strict cleaning protocols and regulatory standards for infection prevention and control.
