About The Position

The Custodian maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing a variety of cleaning and facility-maintenance tasks. The role is part-time, 16 hours per week, with a Saturday and Sunday schedule from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, based in Oahu (Mililani, Hawaii). The hourly pay rate is $17.50. Training is available, and prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Pass the HBM prescreen check.
Follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Have good public-relations and communication skills.
Perform basic manual labor and clean common areas.
Be able to push, press, frequently lift, pull, and carry at least 50 pounds; reach overhead; grasp objects; bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, use stairs, climb up and down a ladder, and stand throughout shifts.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous janitorial, custodial, or related experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas by sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, removing and disposing of trash, cleaning and wiping down areas, and using a ladder to reach elevated areas.
Empty trash receptacles, wastebaskets, and recycling, and dispose of contents in designated areas.
Restock cleaning supplies.
Climb onto the roof using a ladder.
Paint the facility.
Patch parking-lot potholes to maintain a safe, smooth surface for vehicles and pedestrians.
Multitask and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Follow safety procedures.
Maintain professionalism and provide customer service.
Communicate effectively with the supervisor, coworkers, vendors, and property manager.
Report safety issues and building problems, such as burnt-out light bulbs.
Notify appropriate HBM employees of cleaning supplies and equipment needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or property management.
