About The Position

Interstate is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Custodian to work at a client site. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, can work independently, and is also a team player. It provides janitorial and maintenance services to clients in educational, office, industrial, healthcare, and specialty facilities.

The schedule is 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM, with one of two schedules: Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday. Employees who work all scheduled full-time hours (40 hours per week) can earn an additional $1.00 per hour through an attendance incentive. The listed duties are not comprehensive and may be modified or supplemented with other related duties.

Requirements

• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as work as part of a team.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions.
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Frequent bending and reaching from the waist.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, vacuum, sanitize, and disinfect bathrooms, breakrooms, and other assigned areas.
• Remove trash and replace trash-can linings.
• Complete assigned cleaning areas satisfactorily and on schedule.
• Maintain hard-surface and carpeted floors, including dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting.
• Use and properly maintain equipment, including pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, and vacuums.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
