About The Position

Under the direction of the Transportation/Operations/Facilities Supervisor and Site Administrator, the Custodian performs routine custodial activities at an assigned school site or facility and maintains buildings and adjacent grounds in a clean, orderly, and secure condition. The position is listed as 1.0 FTE, eight hours per day, for 12 months.

Campbell Union School District is a PreK–8 school district serving more than 7,500 students in parts of six cities in Santa Clara County. The district describes its staff as supporting one another in providing students with an education beyond the expected.

Requirements

• Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
• Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Knowledge of proper methods, techniques, materials, tools, and equipment used in modern custodial work.
• Knowledge of modern cleaning methods, including basic methods for cleaning floors, carpets, furniture, walls, and fixtures.
• Knowledge of proper methods for storing equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Knowledge of requirements for maintaining buildings in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
• Knowledge of appropriate safety precautions and procedures.
• Knowledge of proper lifting techniques.
• Attach a resume and two letters of recommendation.

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
