About The Position

Healthcare Services Group is seeking a dedicated Night Custodian to maintain a clean and safe environment at two small Laramie County Library System locations in Burns and Pine Bluffs. The position requires commuting between both facilities to perform assigned duties. The custodian works with library staff and guests to help meet cleanliness standards, following safety guidelines and completing cleaning assignments on schedule.

Requirements

• Ability and willingness to commute between the Burns and Pine Bluffs facilities.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
• Ability to complete all responsibilities without supervision after training.
• Punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to stand and walk for 2–4 hours daily.
• Ability to lift and carry, and push and pull, up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by state, local, and/or customer requirements.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks in assigned areas according to quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Use protective gear during cleaning tasks.
• Complete cleaning assignments on schedule.
• Report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
• Dust mop and damp mop floors in areas including classrooms and common spaces.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, classrooms, and common areas.
• Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and perform related duties as assigned.
• Respond promptly to paging system alerts and customer requests.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
