About The Position

Healthcare Services Group is seeking a part-time Night Custodian to maintain clean and safe environments at two small Laramie County Library System locations in Burns and Pine Bluffs. The role requires the ability and willingness to commute between both facilities. The custodian works with library staff and guests and performs cleaning and janitorial duties to meet quality and safety standards. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability and willingness to commute between the Burns and Pine Bluffs library locations.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
• Ability to complete responsibilities without supervision after training.
• Punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to stand and walk for 2–4 hours daily.
• Ability to lift and carry, and push and pull, up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, and/or customer requirements.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks in assigned areas according to quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Use protective gear during cleaning tasks.
• Complete cleaning assignments on schedule.
• Report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
• Dust mop and damp mop floors, including in classrooms and common spaces.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, classrooms, and common areas.
• Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and perform related duties as assigned.
• Respond promptly to paging system alerts and customer requests.
• Follow infection-control procedures and universal precautions.
