About The Position

GRBS is hiring a full-time, second-shift custodian at Wayland Middle School in Wayland Union Schools. The role pays $16.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with one scheduled weekend per month; listed shift times are 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m. Custodians serve public school customers by performing cleaning duties and other tasks as assigned. Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have valid identification.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work each day.
• Must have a positive attitude, be a team player, customer-service focused, dependable, self-motivated, hardworking, and reliable.
• Individuals with theft-, violence-, or drug-related backgrounds do not qualify for employment due to Michigan public school requirements.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at work consistently.
• Follow GRBS processes.
• Communicate mindfully and respectfully with everyone.
• Complete work according to the building map and shift.
• Vacuum, mop, and dust.
• Clean restrooms.
• Remove trash.
• Perform other cleaning tasks as assigned.
