About The Position

The custodian is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and attractiveness of the clinic. The role includes cleaning clinic spaces and equipment, maintaining supplies, caring for the center grounds, and performing simple maintenance as assigned. The custodian must follow the terms of BSHC’s corporate compliance program and protect confidential information in accordance with BSHC policy and current HIPAA regulations. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Ability to maintain a supply inventory.
• Ability to perform physical work, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in janitorial work.

Responsibilities

• Clean and dust desks, tables, chairs, counters, and other clinic furnishings.
• Mop, buff, or vacuum portions of clinic floors.
• Clean the kitchen area.
• Maintain clean restrooms and ensure soap, towels, tissue, and other necessities are available.
• Control and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Perform routine maintenance on custodial equipment and supplies.
• Maintain the appearance of the center grounds.
• Sanitize exam rooms, the lab, x-ray areas, and other spaces.
• Perform simple maintenance as assigned by the supervisor.
• Adhere to the terms and conditions of BSHC’s corporate compliance program.
• Protect confidential information in accordance with BSHC policy and current HIPAA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
