3rd Shift Custodian
About The Position
The Custodian works at Gordon Food Service’s distribution center at 504 Advantage Ave, Aberdeen, Maryland, supporting clean, organized operations and seamless order processing and delivery. The role involves maintaining the building and performing cleaning, waste removal, snow clearing, and landscaping duties. Work takes place in a distribution center with temperatures that can range from -25°F to 100°F. No prior experience is required; training is provided. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., with Fridays and Saturdays off. The position pays starting at $18.78 per hour, including a $1.00 third-shift premium, plus monthly performance incentives. Benefits plans are available starting on the first day.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Must be able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions, from -25°F to 100°F.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits and updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions.
- Must successfully pass a drug test, including screening for marijuana, and a background check.
