About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a Custodian for the evening shift at its Baton Rouge, Louisiana facility. The role maintains the cleanliness and smooth operation of the property and plant through routine custodial work, including cleaning, restocking, and removing garbage. The Custodian also provides operational support as needed by the Executive Director, completes daily, weekly, and monthly facility-upkeep checklists, and reports completed work and escalates concerns to the Executive Director.

Requirements

• No formal education is required.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of two years of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and smooth function of the property and plant.
• Perform routine custodial duties, including cleaning, restocking, and removing garbage.
• Provide operational support as required by the Executive Director.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure facility cleanliness and upkeep.
• Report completed activities and escalate concerns to the Executive Director.
