About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a Custodian for the evening shift at its Baton Rouge, Louisiana facility. The role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and smooth function of the property and plant, carrying out routine custodial duties, and providing operational support as needed by the Executive Director. The custodian completes daily, weekly, and monthly upkeep checklists and reports completed activities and concerns.

Requirements

• If in recovery, have a minimum of one year of sustained sobriety.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Have a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
• Have a dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of two years of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and smooth function of the property and plant.
• Perform routine custodial duties, including cleaning, restocking, and removing garbage.
• Provide consistent operational support as required by the Executive Director.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure facility cleanliness and upkeep.
• Report on completed activities and escalate concerns to the Executive Director.
