About The Position

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is seeking a Custodian to perform heavy-duty cleaning and related maintenance work in an assigned area or building complex. The role is located in Belen, New Mexico, and is scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas, and plant grounds. The position may require coverage beyond normal hours or shifts and work on weekends or holidays. The custodian must tolerate high and low temperatures and the loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant, and follow required safety practices, rules, and procedures.

Requirements

At least one year of experience.
Ability to operate necessary equipment and machinery.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to tolerate high and low temperatures and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
Ability to work beyond normal hours or shifts and on weekends or holidays when required.
Follow required safety practices and use required personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

Successfully complete training as a custodian.
Maintain attendance within acceptable standards.
Use and maintain hand tools and power equipment required for cleaning and general facility maintenance.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, showers, and fixtures.
Empty wastebaskets and trash containers and assist with recycling and composting.
Sweep, mop, scrub, and condition a variety of floor surfaces; vacuum and shampoo carpets and furniture.
Restock toilet paper, paper towels, and other restroom supplies as needed.
Clean walls, windows, mirrors, vents, display cases, and similar items.
Set up and remove furniture for special events.
Perform custodial maintenance in required areas.
Observe safety practices and use required protective equipment, such as safety glasses, safety boots, and hearing protection.
Follow safety rules and procedures and participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
